New Smyrna Beach in January: The Off Season
What's it like on the Atlantic Ocean in New Smyrna Beach (near Daytona Beach) in January?
I had bought some jewelry from a New Smyrna artist who recommended the restaurant "Garlic" on the main drag (good and with a lot of ambience) and we heard there was a crafts fair going on at Canal Street the last 2 days of January and ventured down to see the jewelry and pottery and paintings for ourselves. After 3 days in New Smyrna, we would move to Daytona Beach to a different (bigger) Oceanside resort, but here are some images from New Smyrna Beach in the off-season.
Daytona Beach is 20 minutes or so away, so it is possible to stay in either community and easily travel to the other.
