In The Motherhood
Coming this spring to ABC, In The Motherhood is premiering with a great cast, Megan Mullally, Cheryl Hines and Jessica St. Clair. In The Motherhood debuted first as a web series produced by Suave. Inspired and written in part by those same web viewers, In The Motherhood is a real gem. These three dysfunctional friends make fun of each other while raising kids and keeping it all together. This show features unique and true to life plot lines that are both entertaining and inspiring. View for yourself on March 26th! We love this new spring 2009 family TV comedy.
The Cleveland Show
Fox may have a hit on it's hands with this family comedy show. The Cleveland Show is the much anticipated spin off of Fox's successful Family Guy. Although the premiere date hasn't yet be confirmed, this show is already getting some good buzz. Families will love this show chronicling the life of Cleveland and Donna his high school sweetheart. Character voices are Sanaa Lathan (Donna) and Mike Henry (Cleveland). This new spring family TV comedy is set for Sunday nights. Check with Fox for more announcements on their new spring 2009 family TV comedy.
Game Show In My Head
From CBS we found this new spring family TV comedy show. Produced by Ashton Kutcher, this show is a reality show based (sort of ) on the old Candid Camera. You'll crack up watching contestants earn money performing goofy and often embarrassing tasks. Your kids will love this show. The host of Game Show in My Head is Joe Rogan. Watch it on CBS, Saturdays at 7:00PM Central Time. It made our best of spring 2009 family TV comedy line up.
Zip
Another show we love for family night is Zip starring Steven Weber. You may remember him from the popular show Wings. Zip is about Trip Stringer, single Californian dad and kind of a con artist. Trip has no money, yet manages a comedic life for himself and two sons. He takes on challenging situations in order to make ends meet. This spring family comedy is on NBC. The premiere date hasn't been announced yet so check with NBC to get the latest details.
Sit Down, Shut Up
You'll love this animated comedy for family night. Sit Down, Shut Up comes from Fox and is based on the unusual staff of a small Florida High School. You'll recognize lots of voices like Henry Winkler, Jason Bateman and Kenan Thompson just to name a few. This hilarious comedy takes you behind the scenes at staff meetings and classrooms in true animated style. Give this new comedy show a try. It premieres on April 19, 2009
