New Summer 2011 Attractions at Disney World

Planning a summer 2011 vacation to Disney World? Whether you're heading to the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando or Disneyland Resort in California, you'll be in for a treat with several new attractions and experiences. Even the Disney Cruise Line is getting a mini-makeover just in time for summer 2011 vacations. More routes and stops at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, make it easier than ever to enjoy the Disney experience from a whole new perspective!

Here are some of the newest summer 2011 attractions opening up at Disney World and Disneyland:

Nighttime Show at the Magic Kingdom
"The Magic, The Memories, and You!" is a brand new experience for guests heading to Disney World in summer 2011. For this event, Disney captures pictures of over 500 guests using the PhotoPass feature throughout the day and then displays them on the towers and walls of Cinderella Castle at night. The pictures create a shimmering façade and collage where you and your guests might have a chance to share your smiles with the crowd! You will also be treated to a new fireworks and music presentation to round out the event. This fresh new Disney experience is scheduled for two shows per night depending on park hours. Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun! Parade at Disney's Hollywood Studios
Change things up this year and enjoy a parade and show at Disney's Hollywood Studios, instead of just the Magic Kingdom this year! All of your favorite Pixar characters will be dancing and singing to some fresh new tunes for this toe-tapping extravaganza. This parade will be replacing the "Block Party Bash" at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Check the park listings for showtimes.

The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure Parade and Attraction
Disneyland Resort in Calfornia is unveiling the brand new "The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Advneture" attraction at the park this year, and the launch will include a fun, whimsical parade featuring scenes from the movie.

Star Tours at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Tomorrowland
If you're heading to Disneyland, you can enjoy the Star Tours - The Adventures Continue experience in Tomorrowland. The same experience will be hosted at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in late May. This is a must for Star Wars fans of all ages, giving guests a chance to travel in a Starspeeder and soak up plenty of 3D entertainment.

Mickey's Soundsational Parade at Disneyland
Another new experience at Disneyland in summer 2011 is Mickey's Soundsational Parade. This high-energy music festival features dozens of characters from famous Disney movies, including Aladdin, Peter Pan, Disney princesses and of course Mickey and the gang. Expect to hear dozens of popular songs and jams from the movies played out on steel drums and cymbals!
