The Lab claims that the product comes in a biodegradable container, but the so-called biodegradable container is made out of plastic. As for my knowledge, plastic is not considered to be biodegradable material.
Edwards is a professor at Harvard University of Biomedical Engendering, with that said he of all people should know that inhaling a powder of any kind could possibly cause damage, maybe not right away, but that is how things happen; down the road a few years when you develop a harsh cough that can not be diagnosed or treated because they unsure what the cause is or where it came form. Those who already have respiratory problems should definitely consult your physician before using this product, even though the manufacturer states that it is completely safe, it is always better to seek the advise of a professional.
According to the makers of Le Whif, the particles are too small to enter into the lungs; the particles themselves are 10 microns in size. The product is already on the market in Europe and the cost for one is around 1.80 (euro); that is about 2.50 in US currency. The product only delivers 3 puffs per one container at 2.50. What a rip-off! If I am in the mood for some chocolate I could get a reese's peanut butter cup and it only has 210 calories for the two and only cost .80 cents. Le Whif comes in three flavors raspberry chocolate, pure chocolate and mint chocolate. Researchers state that Le Whif helps curve your appetite. This also comes in coffee flavor, which delivers 100mg of caffeine to your system instantly and is equivalent to one 8-ounce cup of coffee or a shot of espresso. Those of you with hypertension need to stay away from this product as caffeine increases high blood pressure.
As humans we eat via the mouth, we chew our food and then swallow it to receive the nutrients we need to survive. There may only be one calorie per serving of Le Whif, but we as humans can not get the necessary nutrients our bodies need to survive on "whiffing" an aerosol flavored chocolate or as AirScience Labs put it, "they are working on developing sides to go along with meals and then eventually invent this technology into full 3 course meals. Our bodies are not made to withstand inhaling aerosol to sustain life, we need to consume our food and snacks by eating them, not breathing them in.
I have to say that I have not personally tried this product because I live in the United States and it is not available to me. However, even if the product "Le Whif" were available in America, I would not buy or try it ever. We inhale enough carcinogens that are in our atmosphere; I do not need to add to that.
This product is not yet available in the United States, but is available in most European Countries and via the Internet at www.lewhif.com, www.coolhunting.com and www.candyadict.com.
