New Themes Arrive to Gmail

Gmail has revamped their mail system. Now, you can personalize your email experience with new Gmail themes. I believe this was a step in a very good direction, because for those of us who check our email often, it is nice to change the backdrop to suit our moods or tastes.

How to Select the New Themes:

Simply log into your Gmail account, and in the upper right-hand corner of the page you will find Settings. Click on that, and a new page will appear. There is a list of choices just under the search bar on this page, but the one you want is the far right option, Themes. Click on that baby and play around with them all!

There are a bunch of Gmail themes available, too. Some themes are different color and texture setups, and others are full-on picturesque settings! Themes such as Cold Shower and Cherry Blossom are available if you just want to change the color scheme, or you can go more extreme with themes such as Planets or Mountains, which showcase more of a mural type appearance.

Many of the new Gmail themes change every few days, as well! For instance, if you go with the Mountain theme, you are updated with a new mountain view a couple of times a week. I like this idea, because I never know what to expect when logging into my Gmail account. The pictures are absolutely gorgeous, as well.

Of course, any time you get bored of one Gmail theme, it can be changed easily with a few clicks of the mouse. Heck, you could have a new Gmail theme every day, if you wanted to. There is a theme to fit every personality, mood, and interest.

The original Gmail blue and white theme is still available too, of course. Some folks do not like change as well as others, and would just as soon leave things well enough alone. In my opinion, though, these new Gmail themes are worth trying out!

The new Gmail themes do not in any way affect how mail is sent or received; they are simply a new look for your old, reliable Gmail account. Now, not only is Gmail the most spam-free option for email on the web, it is also the best looking! Who can beat that? If you do not have a Gmail account, but are interested, ask a friend who has an account to invite you - you will probably be very glad you did.
