New Uses for Rubber Stamps

Remember the visions of the paperless office? Computers, email, and evolving technology suggested the demise of paper and with it the demise of rubber stamps. However the opposite has happened. Today, offices shuffle more paper than ever. Rubber stamps have long played a role in managing the flow of paper with stamps being used to mark everything from File, Copy, Approved, Draft, Faxed, Paid, and Deposit.

But beyond the typical office uses, rubber stamps come in handy in many other ways. You can use customized stamps to streamline your business processes. For example, if you operate a mobile service business and your workers must complete certain tasks before going out to the jobsite, a rubber stamp listing the required activities will ensure that all tasks are completed before he leaves the office. Stamp the checklist on the back of the work order. The items could be as simple as:

- Confirm insurance coverage

- Confirm address

- Inspect parts

These simple steps will save wasted time. Confirming the job is covered by insurance, the address is correct, and the parts are correct and in good condition will save time and increase productivity. While you could easily have this checklist printed directly on your work orders, it's not cost effective if you already have boxes of pre-printed work orders you need to use. Creating an inexpensive stamp allows you to implement the new requirements right away.

Another terrific use for custom stamps is to supplement your business cards with new information. If you have thousands of existing business cards that are blank on one side, you can use a custom stamp to customize the back with special offers or announcements. For example, if you are hosting a charity golf tournament and want to ensure that all golfers walk away with your business card in hand, use a custom rubber stamp to place a special offer on the back of the card or thank them for their support. One idea is to sell mulligans, or free shots, to the golfers. Stamp the back of your card with Mulliganh along with the golf tournamentfs information. Not only will you raise money for charity, golfers will have several of your business cards.

You can also use a custom rubber stamp to add new information such as your company's new website to your existing printed materials including business cards, envelopes, invoices, and brochures. This allows you to use up your existing materials.

Use customer rubber stamps in the office, in the classroom, or at home to create simple checklists, action items, and communicate. Creating a custom stamp is affordable, convenient, and fast.
