New Ways to Use Your Strawberry Freezer Jam

When strawberries are in season you can be sure that many folks out there are making their own wonderful freezer jam recipes. It is easy, it is kind of good for you and it tastes great. Freezer jam is wonderful because if you make enough of it you can have fresh strawberry jam all year round, it is as easy as opening the freezer door. But what should you do with all of that freezer jam. You are sure to get sick of peanut butter and jam sandwiches after a while. Yes, it is good on top of ice cream and it is great on waffles too. But why not come up with something more clever for that fresh delicious strawberry taste. Here are a few of ideas!

Try a delicious strawberry shake, or even a strawberry banana shake. Just blend ice cream, strawberry freezer jam and milk together in your blender for a tasty treat. Add a banana, or come up with even more clever ideas. If you like chocolate covered strawberries try adding some small chocolate chips to the blender. You can even make a fruit medley shake by adding blueberries to your strawberry jam and bananas. Blueberries can last for months if you just toss them, whole, into your freezer!

Bake a cake! When you are done mixing the batter for your yellow cake and have dumped it in the pan simply take a spoon and scoop some strawberry freezer jam into a few small piles on the top. Use a knife to spread it in funky lines throughout the mix. Bake your cake as directed and serve with whipped topping, or add frosting. It is simple, it is yummy and it will brighten up any boring cake!

Lastly, make your vanilla pudding more than just vanilla. Vanilla pudding has got to be the most boring pudding flavor. Give it some pizazz by adding a heaping spoonful of your strawberry freezer jam onto the top of your serving of pudding. It tastes wonderful and makes a healthy treat a little bit more healthy. This is a great way to get children to prefer vanilla pudding over chocolate too!

These are just a few yummy ideas I have come up with, use them and come up with some of your own!
