New Year Acrostic - a Poem for the New Year

Nigh Draws the New Year

Kathryn E. Darden
The New Year is that traditional time of year when people take stock of their lives, make New Year's Resolutions, and hope for a fresh start. New Year's Eve reminds us the old year is passing. New Year's Day is a tangible reminder that it is never too late to start fresh, to rectify the mistakes of the past, to chart a new course, and to claim a new beginning.

The New Year hands you a clean, fresh slate. What will you choose to write on it?

New Year Acrostic - a Poem for the New Year

N igh draws the New Year
E veryone takes stock
W eighing past and future

Y our failures, mistakes
E rased at midnight
A new, pristine slate
R edeem it and write!

Happy New Year!
