New Year Resolution Ideas

Michael Tveter
New Year's Eve is just around the corner and you are hoping to accomplish as many goals that you have set for this year. Say if you have not accomplished this years goals, there is always a new year. That is why 2010 is your year to find a goal and make your goals a reality.

If you are still not sure what type of goals you are looking for your New Year's resolution, then I welcome you to look at my top ten.

Start Saving Cash for the Things You Want

This may seem as an overwhelming goal, but you only need to set aside a small amount of money and leave it alone. Think of an amount of money you wish to save, put it into a separate savings account, and don't ever access the account until the end of the year. It is better to save money to buy something instead of putting yourself in debt.

Meet an Old Friend or Relative

This may not seem very much to your, but once you meet an old friend; your visit will mean a lot to them.

Organize Yourself

Each of us has something that we must organize. This can be anything from cleaning our basement, organizing your finances, or organizing more time to be with your family more often.

Over Come a Fear

Overcoming a fear gives you more confidence in yourself. Climb a mountain, meet new people, or find friends to motivate you to overcome these fears.

Lose Weight

I don't have a problem with this, but every year I always hear about someone that wishes to loose so many pounds for their resolution and it they work to loose it that year.

Start a New Life

Your life may not be working out the way it seems, but that is why you can always start fresh. Make a new plan of your life such as a new career or a new car and work for it.

Do Something Good

There is a soft side in everyone. Look for something that you want to donate your time, talents, or money. Once you start donating yourself to a good cause, your life will feel ten times more satisfying.

Start a New Hobby

The possibilities are endless with finding a hobby. Go rock climbing, rebuild an old car, make new recipes, paint a picture, and much much more.

Quit a Bad Habit

We all have something that we are trying to quit, such as smoking, eating unhealthy foods, or not brushing our teeth. There could be small and simple things that you can always improve on. Write a list and find out what needs to be improved on the most.

Plan a Vacation

Now that your year has ended, you deserve a nice vacation for all the hard work that you have done. Look at some travel plans and take the vacation that you deserve.
