New Year Ritual: Create Your Magical Treasure Map

What parts of your life do you want to improve? The beginning of the year is ideal to create your magical treasure map, or vision board, that draws to you the things and experiences you want to manifest in your life going forward. So here's how you do it:

Take some time to get clear on your vision and dreams for the future. Then gather up an assortment of beautiful magazines and begin cutting out images, words and phrases of things that support those goals and make you feel empowered and good. I like to use a magnetic glass board so I can add little magnets to the items I'll be putting on it. I envision each magnet drawing to me what I aspire to have in my life. My images form my own delicious treasure map, leading me to amazing vacation spots, workshops I've always wanted to sign up for, places I want to move to, and anything that inspires me to live a more spiritually and emotionally fulfilled life.

If you can't find a magnetic glass board, you can also use posterboard and glue the magazine cut outs to it, or even a corkboard and tack them on.

Whatever method you resonate with, it's about creating a visual representation of what you want to attract into your life. Through the creative visualization process, you are in essence, allowing the Universe to support your dreams by creating shifts that will bring you into energetic alignment with your desires and goals. Your vision board needs to be put in a location where you can see it every day. You'll be pleasantly surprised how your energy will shift and begin magically attracting new opportunities to your realm of possibilities.

It's the feelings that the images and phrases evoke that energetically charges the treasure map with your intent and creates fertile soil for the seeds of your magic to blossom. Meditate on what you want for the year ahead and create a theme for your vision board that's personalized to reflect the type of life you want to live and who or what you want to become. Then add to it as the year goes on, energizing it with your thoughts, prayers and intention.

It's a living extension of your dreams, that changes and flows with you. Just make sure not to attach yourself to the outcome, and instead give permission to your spiritual team to bring new beginnings that may be better than you may have even imagined for yourself. It's all about creating the space that allows real miracles and magic to happen.
