New Year Vs. Old Year Resolutions

Do Resolutions Really Change from the Old Year to the New?

TA James
Wow, there's only a few minutes to the New Year (2009). So while I wait for these minutes to pass I'm going to reflect on the present year(2008) and all of those old years. I'm thinking of what I would like to happen different for 2009 than all the present and previous years. Well first of all I've began to notice there's a pattern.

Every year for as long as I can remember I had determination not to repeat the things of the current year and to do things better than before. However I've also noticed that for the last x amount of years I've planned resolutely so (is that a word?) to lose the excess poundage that seems to creep up more and more every year. Not only that every year I promise that I'm going to become a multi billonaire and marry the person of my dreams.

As you can see my few moments of reflection is enough to depress anyon so this is what I've decided to do different in the New Year compared to the Old Year:

1. I will be more firm in the decisions that I make and will no longer be made to do anything different than what I believe in.

2. I will develop more patience for those attempting to sway me in my decisions as to not be called a sibling of Madea's.

3. I will no longer believe those weight loss commercials that shows a larger person's before and after picture, because Photo Shop can be the best trickster of all.

4. I will not agree to carpool without another adult present because a group of toddlers can be truly truly vicious

5. I will love everyone and their quirky little ways no matter how much it makes me want to rip their hair out. (yes their hair.

6. I will accept my self for who I am and what I look like and love the improvements no matter what (hey it takes a lot of work to gain those pounds).

7. And lastly I will love my Associated Content family the nicest to the meanest, the weirdest to the most normal, and all those caught in the limbo.

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S ASSOCIATED CONTENT FAMILY!!!
