The Walt Disney World resort in Orlando will be hosting several holiday events and fireworks displays for the New Years 2010 countdown, but if you have babies and toddlers traveling to Disney for the holidays, you'll need to keep them busy with some pre-midnight events. Fortunately, you have a number of parades and holiday activities to choose from at Disney World for New Years Eve. From Mickey's Jingle Jungle parade to the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights, here are some fun New Years 2010 activities for young children spending time at Walt Disney World:

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade at the Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom will still be hosting Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade at noon and 3 p.m. on New Years Eve, so don't miss out on this fun event if you're planning on celebrating New Years 2010 at the resort. Kids can watch Mickey and the gang decked out in Christmas attire and enjoy the festive atmosphere throughout the park. The Magic Kingdom will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. for New Years 2010.

SpectroMagic Event at the Magic Kingdom
If young kids are still looking for something to do by 7 p.m. on New Years Eve, don't miss the SpectroMagic event at the Magic Kingdom. This dazzling parade features all the Disney characters surrounded by twinkling lights and celebrates scenes from classic Disney movies. It's one of the biggest events at the Magic Kingdom, and is a great way to celebrate New Years 2010 with young children. The fun takes place on Main Street USA. Fantasmic Celebration at Disney Hollywood Studios
Disney's Hollywood Studios will be open from 9 a.m. to midnight for New Years Eve and will be hosting the Fantasmic celebration at 6:30 p.m., a grand fireworks and water show that will light up the night and keep young children entertained. The event includes a pyrotechnics show, laser lights and music from all your favorite Disney songs.

Special IllumiNations Fireworks at Epcot
Epcot will be open until 1 a.m. for the New Years 2010 countdown, and will be hosting a special version of its IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks and laser light show at 7:30 p.m. and again ten minutes before midnight. When you're traveling to Walt Disney World with young children, you can catch the earlier show.

Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade at Disney's Animal Kingdom
Disney's Animal Kingdom will only be open until 7 p.m. on New Years Eve, and young children can watch Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade as it makes its way through the park at 3:45 p.m. This is another fun and festive holiday event that's worth watching with young kids if you missed it before Christmas.

Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios
The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights event will still be on for New Years 2010 revelers, and you can catch the synchronized light display as soon as the sun goes down. If young kids didn't get the chance to see this event over the holiday season, New Years Eve would be a great time to take in this amazing display. The show ends with snow flurries and kids can explore the rest of the park after the event. Visit Disney's Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights page for more information.
