Rec-Plex New Year's Eve Lock-In
Drop your children ages 8-13 off at the Rec-Plex in St. Peters for an all night event with friends and great activities just for them. The lock-in begins on December 31, 2006 at 7pm, and lasts until January 1, 2007 at 7am. Children can join their friends for swimming, ice skating, games and rock wall climbing amongst many other fun activities. When the clock strikes midnight, a balloon drop will ring in New Year's 2007. The cost for the New Year's Eve Lock-In for St. Peters residents is $45. Renaud Spirit Center New Years Eve Lock In
Another fabulous event is the first ever New Years Eve Lock In at the Renaud Spirit Center in O'Fallon. The lock in is for youngsters age 6-12 years and is available as a partial night or for an all-nighter. Children will enjoy games, snacks, swimming and many other activities. Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the evening, and all-nighters will receive juice and donuts in the morning. First Night - St. Louis 2006
This alcohol-free, family-oriented celebration of the arts, with music, theater, dancing, comedy, magic and more is a St. Louis tradition. Attendees will be transported to a realm where art, imagination and celebration reign in the "Red, Hot Camelot" inspired night. Families can join the colorful and creative "knights and ladies" leading the parade, add a "magical wish" for the new year on the 30 foot puppet dragon, "catapult" a regret from 2006, "twist and joust" in the street, see "dancing dragons" come to life out of 30 tons of sand, search for the artful "grail", and enjoy more than 75 performances and activities. First Night is located only 15 minutes from St. Charles and located at the Grand Center, 634 N. Grand Blvd., in St. Louis. The event offers a kickoff parade, festivities, performances and ends in style with a brilliant fireworks show. First Night 2006 will be held on December 31, 2006 from 4:30pm to midnight.
