Cranberry Apple Martini
This Cranberry Apple Martini recipe is always a huge hit because of its exotic blend of favors. You'll still have the tangy taste of the cranberry, while the sweet flavors of the apple will offset that sour taste, making it a delicious New Years drink.
1 ounce vodka
1/2 ounce Cointreau Orange Liqueur
3 ounces cranberry apple juice
crushed ice
one slice each lemon and orange, for garnish
Combine each of the above ingredients into a cocktail shaker and fill the shaker about 1/3 full with the crushed ice. For twenty seconds, shake vigorously and then strain this perfect martini into a glass. To garnish, squeeze 2-3 drops each of lemon and orange into the martini before placing the fruits on the rim of the glass.
Eggnog Martini
For this time of year, Eggnog Martini's make a perfect choice for your New Year's drinks and will fit right in with the winter season. Even better, like most martini recipes, this one can also be tweaked with different variations to suit your tastes. If you're not a fan of traditional eggnog, opt instead for pumpkin eggnog or another flavor of your choice.
1 oz of spiced rum (recommended: Captain Morgan)
1/2 oz of dark rum
1/2 oz vanilla vodka (recommended: Smirnoff)
3 oz of your favorite eggnog
1/4 oz plain syrup
honey
crushed graham crackers (traditional or chocolate)
Mix the alcohol and 1/3 cup shaved ice in a cocktail shaker for about twenty seconds. Next, add your eggnog and a splash of syrup. Dip the rim of your martini glass in honey and coat with the crushed graham crackers. Strain the martini into the glass and garnish with a dash of cinnamon or powdered sugar.
Mint Chocolate Martini
The combination of mint and chocolate are already delicious flavors, but when you combine the two into this martini recipe, the result is an absolute perfect martini to serve this New Years.
2 ounces of vodka
1 ounce of Creme de Cacao
1/2 ounce of creme de menthe
powdered cocoa, to dust the rim of your glass
couple drops of Creme de Cacao
shaved chocolate, for garnish
In a cocktail shaker, combine and vigorously shake your vodka, Creme de Cacao, Creme de Menthe and ice. Coat the rim of your martini glass with the extra drops of Creme de Cacao and then dip into a small shallow dish of powdered cocoa. Strain the martini into the glass and, finally, garnish your Mint Chocolate Martini with shaved chocolate.
