Looking for the best firework spots in London for New Year's Eve? New Year's Eve in London will truthfully be one to remember for the year of 2008/2009! It's only right to bring in the New Year watching the best and brightest fireworks. Prepare to see a stunnin' firework show at these top "sightseeing" places in London.

London Eye: The number one spot everyone is going to is the London Eye. Along with being London's main attraction, they are preparing to go all out this year by hosting the 2009 New Year's Eve fireworks. London, "Home of the worlds largest observation wheel", will host their firework show for all of London to see. If you're preparing to watch the fireworks from the London Eye, get there early! Don't waste time, if you do you will find that you can't get in once it's full. Try to get there at least 1 or 2 hours before the fireworks show starts so you can reserve your "sightseeing" space. If you get there early enough you won't have to worry about paying a dime, it's free! If you do attend the London Eye viewing spot, make sure you walk up to it. Don't park especially close to the site unless you're ready for all the traffic after, it will be hard to leave!

Victoria Embankment: The Victoria Embankment, which is part of the Thames Embankment, is sure to be another one of London's hot spots for New Year's Eve fireworks. You will be able to see the starlit fireworks crystal clear by being on the Victoria. Fireworks can be seen from the beginning of Westminster Bridge all the way into the City of London for New Year's Eve.

South Bank: For another view of London's spectacular light show, head over to the South Bank. Fireworks can be seen from the South Bank Centre. For a better view, stand by the Royal Festival Hall. The Royal Festival Hall is known as one of the leading concert venues in the world. Not only do you get to view the great firework show, you get to see a piece of history in the making.

Waterloo Bridge: The Waterloo Bridge in London allows both car and foot traffic to cross across it. While the Westminster Bridge will probably be packed with tons of viewers, go over to the Waterloo Bridge where you can walk while you watch the fireworks. The Waterloo Bridge is truthfully the best ground spot for viewing the night's fireworks.

P.S. The London Fireworks at London Eye will be able to be seen on televison, the BBC1
