The mile high city of Denver is a great place to spend new years eve. With over 300 restaurants and bars in downtown Denver there is something for every appetite. The most impressive attraction in Denver this new year's eve however, will be the twin new year's eve firework displays at the 16th street mall.

This year in Denver both the new years eve firework displays will be launched simultaneously from dual sites in the 16th street mall and both firework displays will be identical. The first firework display, for families and those looking to start the new year celebrations with a bang, will begin at 9pm finishing just after 9.10pm. The second fireworks display will bring in the new year at the stroke of midnight on new year's eve. Presented by the Downtown Denver Events Inc.and Denver Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau, the new years eve firework displays in downtown Denver this year promise to be both spectacular and colorful. The firework displays will be easily visible from any point in downtown Denver, but the best views will be from the 16th street mall itself.

The 16th mall is a vibrant area and combined with the surrounding downtown area there literally hundreds of bars and restaurants to enjoy new year's eve, both before and after the fireworks displays. From fast food to 5 star restaurants the choice is endless including several located in the mall itself. Eat drink and be merry but don't lose track of the time as the fireworks displays will start punctually. Several hotels in the area, within walking distance, are offering new year's eve packages, so if you are coming from out of town this may be your best option.

With large crowds expected for the fireworks and other celebrations in the Downtown Denver are this new year's eve, parking will be difficult to find. Apart from the parking at the mall itself, there are several parking options available within 3 square blocks of the mall. RTD light trains will not be crossing 16th street between 8pm and 1pm and shuttle services will be interrupted during the firework displays.
