New Year's Eve 2011 TV Coverage and Specials

New Year's Eve is a time when many of us will get together with friends and family to celebrate the end of the year and usher in the new year. With New Year's Eve 2011 around the corner many people will be spending the evening at parties or getting together with their spouse and children to celebrate, and more than likely you will be watching a New Year's Eve special on TV.

With celebrations all over the world you can watch the celebrations on various channels showing the clock striking midnight around the world. The following is a list of the events, specials and schedule of events on television this New Year's Eve 2010 into 2011. All times are Eastern Standard Time, unless noted.

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest -

New Year's Eve wouldn't be New Year's without Dick Clark's annual television countdown to midnight live from Times Square. Ryan Seacrest will help lark ring in the New Year with celebrity guests and some of the top bands and singers performing live. The party starts on ABC at 10PM and runs until 2:15AM and will show the New Year coming in from various locations across the United States such as Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles among others.

New Year's Eve Live on FOX -

FOX TV will be broadcasting live from Times Square starting at 11PM on your local FOX affiliate with Nancy O'Dell broadcasting live from Las Vegas, Nevada. Performances will include Travie McCoy and David Archuleta. On FOX News the All American New Year program will also start at 11PM with singer Brandy co-hosting. Performances will include Rick Springfield and Katharine McPhee along with Miss USA Rima Fakih and Miss Teen USA Kamie Crawford. Both stations will be broadcasting until 12:30AM.

New Year's Eve with Carson Daly -

Broadcasting on your local NBC affiliate live from Times Square in New York City, Carson Daly will help ring in the New Year with special guest hosts and several of the top musical acts. The New Year's Eve 2011 special will start at 10PM and run until 12:30AM. MSNBC will not be broadcasting a New Year's special on their station, but will instead show a marathon of Lockup: Raw. CNBC will be broadcasting the show on their network.

CNN New Year's Eve Special from Times Square -

CNN host Anderson Cooper and comedian Kathy Griffin host the annual New Year's special from Times Square. The special starts at 11PM and runs until 3AM . Leading up to the New Year's special Anderson Cooper will be hosting All the Best, All the Worst of 2010, highlighting the best and worst news stories of the year.

BET 106 & Party: New Year's Eve Special -

BET television will be airing their annual New Year's special from 106 & Park starting at 11PM and running until 3AM when it hits midnight on the west coast. The station will be airing the Top 100 rap and Hip Hop videos of 2010 up until the New Year's special starts. There will be special guests along with performances in-studio by lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj.

MTV's New Year's Bash 2011 -

Hosted by comedian Whitney Cummings, the MTV New Year's celebration will feature music videos and highlights from MTV shows from 2010. There will also be a live performance from Times Square by Flo Rida. The cast of Jersey Shore will help ring in the New Year, with Pauly D co-hosting the celebration and Snooki riding down on a ball to welcome in the New Year.
