New Year's Eve Celebrity Round-Up: Lindsay Lohan Brawl, Ashlee Simpson and Dick Clark
From Fights to Parties, Where Were the Celebrities on New Year's Eve?
According to NYPost.com, Lindsay Lohan and girlfriend Samantha Ronson had a New Year's bash that literally beat into the night. The hosts of a party at The Mansion in Miami, Lohan and Ronson took the fight into an ally where screaming and screeching continued. Later, the NYPost reports crashing and screaming from their hotel room and a cat fight that toppled out into the hallway.
According to sources, Lindsay Lohan seemed miffed, even into the next day when the girlfriends were to fly back to LA. This could be the start of a long new year for Lohan.
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Suffer No Baby Blues
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz hosted their own New Year's Eve gala at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas. Bronx Mowgli Wentz, the couple's one month old baby, was not in attendance. That was a smart move on New Year's Eve, but rumor on CelebTrashTalk.com says the couple has left the baby home too many nights to go out partying. Maybe the two will grow up and play parents in 2009.
Dick Clark Propped up for Times Square Celebration
It was saddening to watch the Times Square Celebration hosted by Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest. It was like watching Father Time and the Baby New Year.
Dick Clark was completely pumped with Botox. His face appeared frozen in time as he moved only his lips. His speech and movements were rigid and difficult to follow. These symptoms were caused by the stroke Dick Clark experienced last year.
Dick Clark is an American icon, but clearly, it is time for him to retire. Perhaps this New Year's Eve in Time Square marked the passing of the baton to the new generational television icon, Ryan Seacrest.
It was a noble effort but difficult to watch.

Well said! I would still rather watch Clark..than Seacrest..guess I can manage to change with the times...but Seacrest??
"Father Time and the Baby New Year" ... I love it! Great job!!
Changing times for sure.
I wish Lindsay would just fade away. I've had enough!
Great reporting.
Interesting reports here. Some people (Dick Clark, Bret Farve, etc.) just try to go on too long....I hope I don't do that........
Poor Dick Clark! Good reporting as always!
