New Year's Eve at Disney World - It's Not Just for Kids Anymore

On New Years Eve there is always a big party. It is said that New Years Eve is one of the worlds largest party holidays. It's no wonder why that Disney World has one of the greatest New Years Eve parties of all! Well I have to say if you don't like big parties don't go to Disney World on New Years Eve. There will be parties everywhere in Disney World. Each separate section of Disney World will host a unique New Years eve party. The main party is an adult only party at Pleasure Island in downtown Disney were when it hits midnight you get to do a champagne toast and party on. It is an adult only party because alcohol will be served.

Fireworks galore

When you have done your toasting you can watch one of the many beautiful firework displays. There will be many fireworks displays in Disney World like in the Magic Kingdom. There you can see the "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks display which will start a couple hours before New Years Day. You can also watch the "SpectroMagic" parade which starts a lot earlier for the younger children that need to go to bed early. Epcot Center will have a laser, light, and fireworks show. Then if you go to Disney-MGM Studios you will get to see "Fantasmic" a series of Disney music and movies and don't forget more fireworks. It will be a fireworks celebration to remember.

Adults only parties

The special Pleasure Island party for adults only. You will need to be 21 and have proper IDto enter. This party is not all fireworks because there will be bands with all kinds of music types like Hip-Hop, Rock, Techno, the 60s music and the parties of course. There will even be some live comedy acts. Another adult party is the Atlantic Dance Hall party with champagne and dancing the night away. Disney World is not just for kids anymore.

Food glorious, food

After awhile you would start to get a little hungry so where are you going to eat? There will be array of gourmet food like seared beef medallion, grilled skewered shrimp, smoked salmon filets and much more.

Where to stay

Of course Disney World has accommodations but you can find smaller hotels and motels in the area to fit your budget. Be sure to book early!

Costs

The only negative points about it is the cost at $99.00 plus tax, per person for admission to the Pleasure Island adults only party. The Dance Hall party is cheaper at $20.00 for the cover charge. Both of those prices do not include the price of admission into the park itself. Factor into that the hotel and plane fare if you are not in the area.
