At 9:30, "Live 80" will take the Chevy Music stage. This band is considered Dallas' premeir 80's band. Their show features hits from the 1980's as well as retro video footage displayed on the giant screen behind them.
"Limelight" will take the Chevy Music stage at 11:20 as Dallas prepares to ring in the new year. Limelight plays music hits from the 60's through the 90's and ending their show with favorite current hits.
"Reckless Kelly" will be performing at 11:10 at the House of Blues.
Fireworks:
The Dr. Pepper Fireworks Spectacular will begin at midnight as party goers ring in the new year with style.
How to get there:
Big D NYE 2010 will be located at WFAA-Victory Park, 3030 Olive Street in Dallas. They recommend event goers use DART to get to and from the even. DART will provide light rail service to and from Victory Station only until 1:00 a.m. on January 1, 2010.
According to the Big D NYE website, if you will be travelling to the even from the northwest, you should travel South I-35E (Stemmons Freeway) toward downtown Dallas. Take Exit 429C to Oaklawn/Victory Lane/Hi Line Dr. Stay on the service road until you get to Victory Avenue/Hi Line Dr. and then turn left on Victory Avenue.
If you will be coming in from the south, take I-35 North (Stemmons Freeway) to Denton. Take Exit 429C to Victory Ave./Hi Line Dr. and turn right on Victory Ave.
You will need to get a wristband in advance. If you don't have one, you won't be allowed in the main venue.
Check the Big D NYE website for a list of items you are not allowed to bring with you, and there are several.
Odyssey NYE 2010:
Party the night away as you journey through three decades of music and prepare to make history at midnight when you lift your shot glass in the air and down it-1000 shots in unison and you'll be a part of history. Does that sound cool or what?
This party is happening at the Crowne Plaza, 1015 Elm St. in Dallas. General Admission is $30.00 and VIP tickets are available for $50.00. There is a $2.00 surcharge added to all phone orders.

If you enjoy solving mysteries, you're going to enjoy this as you ring in the New Year! There are three different difficulty levels that you can choose from:
-Straightforward-The suspect is identified easily.
-Complex-For thos who like to dabbly is solving mysteries. The case can be solved in about 2-3 hours.
-Challenging-For the serious mystery buff.
There are two packages to choose from, depending on your needs:
-The Basic Package is $139.00 per person. If you order your tickets after December 20, the price increases to $149.00. This package includes a gourmet dinner, mystery comedy, reception, drink ticket, balloon drop, party favors, champagne at midnight, a DJ, and a cash bar will be available.

Post a CommentRevisit but realized I actually spend New Years Eve in Dallas - a million years ago, ok really only about 30 but seems longer :)
As always, great job :)
Big D NYE is really awesome. I would compare it to the New Year's Eve party on Times Square easily. Really fun!
I went to the hockey game last year and then stepped out into Big D NYE! There was a massive amount of people there!lol I was cold, so I left like a party pooper lol Good article!
Excellent info and thanks for including the details about the wristband.
Solving the mystery sounds like fun. Don't know if I'd pay $139.00 though. There's certainly a whole lot more going on in Dallas then around here. Might have to come down for one of those shot glasses. LOL.
Lots more to do than in the north woods of Michigan! :)
Sounds like some fun events. Thanks.
