New Year's Eve Events and Parties for the Northeast and North Florida Areas

New Year's Eve is a time for celebrating with friends and family while saying goodbye to 2009 and ushering in 2010 and the new decade. The following events are for parties and events happening in the Northeast, North Central and North Florida areas.

The Ocean Club New Year's Celebration -

Come celebrate New Year's at Jacksonville's #1 downtown night club The Ocean Club. The New Year's Eve party kicks off at 8PM and continues until 2AM with a special count down toast and champagne at midnight. This party sells out quickly as the date draws near, call for pricing information and to reserve your tickets.

New Years Eve Over the St. Johns River -

River City is hosting its annual New Year's Eve bash with live entertainment and fireworks over the St John's River. Visitors who are in town for the Gator Bowl football game on January 1st can get in on the celebration at special events connected to the game and a pep rally with the Gator's Cheerleaders. Events leading up to New Year's Eve start December 29th and continue through December 31st in downtown Jacksonville. The celebration on New Year's Eve starts at 7PM and continues until 12AM.

Cost: Free for everyone. It is also free to participate in any events in downtown from the 29th through the 31st.

Beach Blast Off to 2010 -

The city of Saint Augustine is celebrating the new year with its annual Fireworks show on the beach of the St. Johns River. The festivities run from 4PM to 9PM with the Fire and Ice Chili Cook-Off starting at 4PM. Also enjoy ice sculptures, made by local ice sculpture artists that will be displayed near the chili cook-off and plenty of games and entertainment for children and adults to enjoy. The Fireworks show begins at 8:30PM. This display is a real treat for anyone coming to town for the celebration and can be seen for miles around.

Over 10,000 people come to this event every year so get there early.

Swingin' In the New Year -

Celebrate the New Year with the popular 60's band The Swingin' Medallions when they return to perform at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village. The show starts at 6:30PM in the resorts St. Augustine Ballroom and continues until 12AM.
