The cruise will include a delicious dinner buffet, premium open bar, souvenir photo, party favors, live music as well as music provided by a DJ! Bring in the New Year enjoying the Washington, DC skyline, which will be lit-up by wonderful fireworks at the end of the nigh! If you want information on the cruise, you can check out DC Tours. First Night Alexandria
I love Old Town Alexandria just as much as I love the waterfront in Washington, DC. First Night Alexandria is a non-alcohol, family oriented celebration held at dozens of venues throughout Old Town Alexandria. This year, 19 indoor venues with multiple stages featuring more than 100 performances from 7:00 pm until 11:30 pm Free DASH shuttles and the King Street Trolley will be available to transport participants to activities along King Street. The New Year will be welcome with a spectacular fireworks show at the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria. You can see the full schedule here, and admission information including badge prices are available here.
New Year's Annapolis
DC and Virginia aren't the only places with great fireworks displays. If you are in the Annapolis, MD area, you are in luck! There will be TWO fireworks displays on December 31, 2009. The first one will be for the families with little ones at 7:30 P.M. and the traditional fireworks display will go off at midnight as we bring in the new year. Fireworks aren't the only good things about the New Year's Eve celebrations in Annapolis this year. Check out the New Year's Annapolis website for more information.
Baltimore's New Year's Eve Spectacular
I saved the best for last because according to rumors, this is actually the largest fireworks display in the region! The fireworks at the Baltimore Inner Harbor will be bringing in 2010 with some fancy moves as they are choreographed to music! According to the Baltimore website, entertainment and the official countdown takes place on December 31, 2009 at 9pm.Mayor Sheila Dixon will be on hand to ring in the New Year with a countdown followed by confetti cannons at midnight.
Where will you be ringing in 2010?
