If you want an evening to remember for years, head towards Long Beach in Los Angeles County to the site of The Queen Mary. Every year the ship prepares and expects thousands of people to board the beautiful historic ship to celebrate New Year's Eve. Guests are allowed access to the Promenade Deck, the Promenade Cage, and the Chelsea, which is where the buffet line will be set up for all to enjoy. The price for the New Year's Eve celebration is $119.00 per person which includes parking, admission to parties, the hors d'oeuvres buffet, party favors and the fireworks display.

Drinks on board The Queen Mary are charged separately from the event. Several parties will be hosted simultaneously with various themes including Jazz, Country, Retro 70's Disco, Top 40's, Big Band and Latin. When midnight strikes and the balloon drops, party favors will be available.

For those guests who choose to spend their New Year's Eve celebration in Los Angeles, and who may want to spend the night The Hotel Queen Mary will offer a package including overnight accommodations. The price is $769.00 for double occupancy, which includes accommodations, two tickets to the party, a pre-party reception, a bottle of Champagne, a souvenir photo, a New Year's Eve dinner, and brunch the following day both of which will be held in the Grand Salon of The Queen Mary. Contact the hotel for reservations. There is also a dining package in the Sir Winston's restaurant, which includes a half bottle of champagne, a 7-course meal, parking, party favors and fireworks all for $250.00 per person. Reservations are required for this package. There is also a Breakfast Buffet for $15.00 available right after midnight through 2:30AM. This will be held in the Prom Café.

For those wanting to lighten things on New Year's Eve in Los Angeles, there is always the celebration at The Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach in Los Angeles County. Located at 1018 Hermosa Avenue, bring your favorite people and bring in the New Year with fun and laughter. The Comedy & Magic Club will offer two shows this year for its' New Year's Eve patrons. There will be a Dinner Show at 7:00PM where the New Year will be brought in at 9:00PM with a champagne toast simultaneously with the East Coast ball drop in Times Square. There will be a second show at 10:00PM. Party favors, balloons, desserts, and a midnight champagne toast will be included. Parking is available on the street as well as the lot on the roof of the club.

The New Years Eve Guide for Los Angeles would not be complete without The Giant Block Party held downtown Los Angeles. Located at Wilshire Boulevard, between Grand, and First, the party this year is being advertised as the biggest party ever. There will be nonstop live entertainment the full six blocks of the party, and it will last all night long. There will be six stages, and three indoor lounges throughout the village. Guests can look forward to a carnival midway mayhem with a giant Ferris. Wheel. At midnight there will be a pyrotechnic show with three fireworks launch pads. Live entertainment includes The Black Eyed Peas, Death Cab for Cuties, The Crystal Method and others.
