Five Easy Mocktails for New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve is a great time to get together with family and friends. You do not have to drink alcohol to have a good time though. If you still want to spice up your New Year's Eve party your should try these recipes for New Year's Eve Mocktails.

Mocktail #1 Designated Appletini

This is simply a non-alcoholic version of the apple martini. You will need 2 ounces of freshly pressed apple juice, ½ ounce of simple syrup, ¼ ounce of lemon juice, granulated sugar, and an apple slice for the garnish.

You simply combine the apple juice, simple syrup, and lemon juice. This works best if you have a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Rim your cocktail glasses with the sugar. Strain the drink into the cocktail glass and garnish with the slice of apple.

Mocktail #2 Roy Rogers

For this classic mocktail you will need six to eight ounces of cola, ¼ ounces of grenadine, and a maraschino cherry.

Mix the liquids together and pour into a nice serving glass. Garnish with the cherry.

Mocktail #3 Sherbert Punch

This punch is a great way to add to your drink list for your New Year's Eve party. Ingredients that you will need are 1 quart of lime sherbert, 2 six ounce cans of frozen lime juice concentrate, 2 six ounce cans of frozen lemon juice concentrate, and a 6 ounce juice can with water.

Just mix all of the ingredients together and you have a wonderful mocktail punch to serve your guests.

Mocktail #4 Sweet Sunrise

This sweet sunrise is a nonalcoholic version of the famous tequila sunrise. You only need orange juice, grenadine, and an orange slice for garnish.

Simply fill an ice filled glass with orange juice and then slowly pour the grenadine over the orange juice. The grenadine will slowly rise to the top as you sip the drink.

Mocktail #5 Virgin Mary

This Virgin Mary is a great way to do a nonalcoholic Bloody Mary. Ingredients needed for this include 3 ounces tomato juice, ½ ounce lemon juice, dash of Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, ground pepper, hot pepper or
Tabasco sauce, celery stalk for garnish.

Mix the liquid ingredients over ice and then add the seasonings. Garnish with the celery stalk. You can also use spicy beans as a garnish for a little extra flavor.
