The Hyatt's huge New Year's Eve party, named New Years 2010 - Downtown Countdown, is scheduled on Thursday December 31, from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM. General admission is $129, with a limited number of VIP tickets also available. This New Year's Eve Party in Atlanta includes an open bar, hors d'ouvres, carving and pasta stations, late night breakfast and access to five party rooms with live music and entertainment. The Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta is the largest celebration in the southeast. And admission is free! Underground Atlanta is located at 50 Upper Alabama Street in Atlanta. This New Year's Eve Party in Atlanta begins during the day with family fun and children's activities, including games and face painting. Beginning at 6:00 PM, entertainment with live music is scheduled. As midnight nears, the countdown to 2010 begins and the 800 pound Peach will start its descent, just like the Ball in Times Square. The Peach will reach the ground exactly at midnight, along with fireworks, lots of confetti and cheers from the crowd.
