New Year's Eve: Sparkling Raspberry Vodka Punch

CocoPem
I am always on the hunt for different Vodka drinks for entertaining weather it is Christmas, New Year's, birthdays, or just summer soiree. It is very easy to get bored of the same concoction especially if you entertain a lot like I do. This sparkling raspberry vodka punch recipe was a hit at the summer soiree I had this past summer but I think it could do well at any function. It is nice and light but has a bit of a kick. I have a friend that is not a huge drinker and she really enjoyed this equally as much as her husband, who loves his drinks, did.

So here goes.

What do you need:

Raspberry seltzer water

Lemon or Lime soda (I tend to use Sprite)

Vodka (amount depends on how strong you want your punch and you can use a raspberry vodka if you want to enhance the berry flavor or plain)

Fresh Sliced Limes or Lemons (depending on the soda you use)

Zest of 3 limes or lemons (depending on the soda you use)

Fresh Raspberries

Splash of Grenadine- just for the color or you can use cranberry juice if you don't mind the extra tartness

Ice

How to make it:

Take the slices of lemon/limes and raspberries put them in a plastic food storage bag and pop in the freezer overnight. This helps keep the punch cold and you use less ice as when it melts, it dilutes the punch. The day you are ready to make your vodka punch, take a large punch bowl and pour in the raspberry seltzer water lemon/lime soda, grenadine. Mix this very well, and then add in the vodka, ice. Garnish the sparkling punch with the frozen lemon/lime slices and raspberries. There you have it Raspberry Sparkling Vodka Punch.

I hope you take the time to try my recipe at your next social or entertaining event!
