New Years Eve survival guide for 2011
New Year's Eve is a time to celebrate with those you love the most. The New Year holds many possibilities. Changes in our lives are just around the corner. Are you looking forward to what the holiday season has to bring? I know I am.
There are things you should think about and do before celebrating such a special and popular holiday with friends and family. It is a time to try new things and meet new people.
Don't drink too much. Drinking too much can lead to death. It is wise to know your drinking limit. Going beyond that limit is very dangerous. You don't have to be drunk to have fun. Social drinking is fine. Just do not push yourself too hard.
Be with friends and family. Bringing in the new year with loved ones is a special moment to cherish. Friends and family together create beautiful memories.
Enjoy yourself. Be yourself. Don't be someone you are not. Let loose and enjoy the moments you have. None of us is promised tomorrow. Live as if tomorrow doesn't exist. Be free and live life to the fullest. Tomorrow may never come for any of us.
Be safe. You should not go home alone with anyone you don't know or leave your drink unattended. A drink left unattended is a disaster waiting to happen. Drugs can easily be slipped into a drink that is not being watched. Leaving with a stranger is never a good idea, no matter what the situation may be.
Have fun. Fun can simply be being with the ones you love. The meaning of the word fun is in the eye of the beholder. A party with music, dancing and drinking is a fun time shared with the special people in your life. It is a chance to meet and mingle with new, interesting people.
Don't do anything too crazy to land yourself in jail. Crazy deeds such as urinating in public, exposing yourself or hitting a police officer can and will land you in jail. It isn't a good idea to do anything stupid to attract unwanted attention.
The New Year is what you make of it. Don't let any time go to waste. We can never be sure we will be here to see tomorrow. In the New Year, try new things and don't hold back. Happy New Year.
