As I consider New Years resolution 2010 ideas, I realize I went through a lot of changes in 2009. Multiple family members and friends suffered from serious health problems. Several people I loved died. We're in a precarious financial position. It was a difficult year financially, emotionally and otherwise. Knowing I'm happy to move on to 2010, what will I be doing then? My New Years resolution 2010 is to live a better life. Yup, I'm keeping it simple for a change.

My biggest New Years resolution 2010 is to stop sugar coating my feelings. In realizing how transient life is, I don't want any misconceptions about how I feel. I don't want to be a crowd pleaser! Who cares about diplomacy? I've spent most of my life being giving and caring. I want to be more self-centered!

New Year resolution 2010 ideas often involve changing our appearance. I realized I like myself. I don't want to be anyone or anything other than who I am. Sure, I'd love to lose twenty pounds and get my teeth redone. I'm putting it on the list but no pressure. When I get to it, I'll get it done. From all that honest rambling and musing, a book will finally be born. I can do it!

Finally, let's get real. I'm not an authority although I speak with an authoritative tone (an aftereffect from working in law all those years). Contrary to appearances, I'm not judgmental or fundamental but I do get a bit "mental" sometimes for fun!
