New Year's Resolution: Poems from the Heart

Reminiscing Yourself

Thomas Griffin
Oh that New Year's would bring me joy
The peaceful serenity I had as a boy
All the ideas keep spinning along
Offering but only a simple "so long"
To work or to play; to gaze or to grow
Or perplex the wind with its austere blow
So many thoughts of tomorrow do hold
My always unfolding story untold
Today I resolve, if only for now
To be who I am with no snicker or scowl
To always stay true to myself in the end
So stands my resolution for 2010
