New Year's Resolutions for 2011

A Modern Twist on an American New Year Tradition

Adam Hughes
Each year as December wanes and January approaches, Americans turn their gazes inward and forward, resolving to be better in some way in the New Year than they were in the last. Modern technology has changed the way we live in many ways, and, thus, the changes that we vow to make each year. Here are some of the top New Year's resolutions for 2011.

Become Leaner

Don't Drive Distracted
Turn off the smart phones, put down the fried chicken, and pay attention to the road.

Build Your Social Media Network
Facebook, Twitter, and other social media tools carry a lot of the world's communication burden these days. If you're not connected, you're being left behind.

Reduce Your Social Media Dependence

Since you're discarding unnecessary media sources and energy syncs, you'll have more time and impetus to do some reading that appeals to you. Many of the world's classic novels are now available for free online, so pick some and get to it!
