You never know what next year will bring you maybe in a new relationship so make the most of being single this year and have the best New Year's ever.

1. Your friends to the rescue. Make this new year's a fabulous new year's with a few of your single friends. Start planning today make sure they're not going to be busy. And the two, three or four of you get out and start mingling with all the other singles out there. Just remember planning is one of the most important things to do so that your friends know not to make other arrangements.

2. What are the different types of events being held for singles on New Year's? There are numerous types of events you can enjoy or you and a few of your single friends can enjoy together. The best place to find these events is in your local newspaper. Some of these include dinners, dancing and concerts.

3. Have you thought of taking a cruise? A bit of traveling throughout the holiday season might do you good. Most of the New Year's Eve singles cruises depart on December 30 and return seven days later on January 6th. If you decide to take a cruise such as this you could look forward to enjoying cocktail parties, single main goal dining, group excursions as well as mixers and games. On arrival and you will meet your host who will then plan all of your events for the New Year singles cruise. Believe me you won't be bored and come seven days later you'll be wondering where all the time has gone.

4. Host your very own New Year's singles dinner. Get the word out to all of your friends and your friends family's tell them you're going to be hosting a singles dinner party if they know of anybody who would like to join. "No couples allowed" make it is big or as small as you want. Make sure you have some fun games happening like single dancing games and a countdown event made especially for singles.

5. Get together with your family members. They know you're single so it shouldn't be uncomfortable. A small note: if in any way you are uncomfortable being around your family avoid them on New Year's and try one of the fun things above. But some families have New Year's traditions like getting around the piano and singing. Talking about all the new things happening in each other's lives. Being around your family on New Year's could be one of the greatest times throughout the year and not to be missed. Even if you are single this year.
