The First event that will start to draw a crowd is held on Saturday June 14th. This event is known as the 2nd Avenue Summer Fair. It is held on 2nd Avenue from 23rd to 34th street. The fair is held every year and usually starts at 12:00pm. There is no fee for this event other than the price you will pay for food from vendors that are set up on the street.
On Sunday June 15th the International Cultures Festival will be held on 6th Avenue form 42nd street to 56th street. There you will find plenty of food and games for the family. There is usually a lot of vendors set up with things for you to purchase. They also often have performances form several different people within the community. This even usually starts at 12:00pm and last through the evening.
The Times Square Export is another fun event that is held on 7th Avenue from 47th Street to 57th Street. This even is held on June 21st. This event usually begins at 11:00am and ends at 6:00pm. There are plenty of vendors and activities for the whole family. There is also usually plenty to purchase so make sure you bring some cash along.
The Manhattan Youth Fair is an event that is catered to the youth in the area. It takes place this year on August 1st on Whitehall Street to water street. They will have lots of vendors set up and special booths that cater to information for the youth in the area. They will also have plenty of live performances by the local youth. It really is a nice event for the whole family. You should make sure to bring money for food and your walking shoes. The event usually starts at 10:00am and ends at 6:00pm. The summer seaport festival is held each year on Water street. It starts on Fulton Street and ends on Broad Street. The event takes place on August 16th. They also usually have live music and performances. You will find plenty for the kids and the adults at this festival.
