New York City's Best Restaurants

Some of the Finest Cooking in the Best City in the World

Jason Ward
I love New York and at least visit once a year, the city is so alive and the energy is amazing. There are so many awesome things to do in New York that you will never get bored. Aside from all the entertainment the city also has some of the best restaurants in the world, I wish I could say that I have been to all of them but I haven't so this is a list of some of my favorites that aren't too costly but taste-wise are just divine.

Whether you live in New York or are just visiting for a weekend please try to check some of these out.

Tribeca Grill

Located in downtown Greenwich Village, the grill house is not one to miss. Robert DeNiro was one of its cofounders and on a really good night you might just bump into him enjoying a nice dish of Coconut Shrimp. Reservations are hard to get so the earlier the better if you want a guaranteed spot in the night.

Unlike a lot of restaurants the appetizers are served in large portions, so be careful not to order too much as you might get full before the main course. They serve all types of meat, seafood, beef, and chicken. You can also order some of the best Crabcakes around, and one of their famous dishes is the Seared Sea Scallops with Risotto rice, it really is a great dish and one of my personal favorites as well.

100 percent recommended, check it out.

Dallas BBQ

This is a very affordable restaurant which serves great food from Burgers, seafood, steaks and so on. They also serve delicious chicken wings with sweet honey sauce that are just mouth watering, and anybody who tries them will love them for sure. There fish is awesome and ribs so juicy they literally melt in your mouth. They also offer combo meals so that you can have a little bit of everything which is really nice. They make great alcoholic drinks as well. If you want the time of your life for not that much money, please go to Dallas BBQ's.

Dallas BBQ is located in the center of Time Square, on 42nd Street.

The Water Club

The water club is a great waterfront restaurant, famous for their amazing fresh lobster. This restaurant is very exclusive and quite costly, but the price is worth it as it is one of the most luxurious restaurants on this list. The views of the waterfront alone are worth going, and you will seldom see something more beautiful in the city. One strange aspect of the restaurant is that the waiters are all in their fifties or older and this was a little refreshing for me as they offer great service but are also a lot more prestigious than your average waiters. Their Buttermilk Onion Rings are fabulous and are a great addition to practically any dish. The food is great and ranges from mostly seafood to steaks and some chicken dishes. I would suggest the Water Club to couples looking for a romantic dinner. I don't think it would be as nice if you went alone.
