The is the second year for the New York Comic Books Convention. Last years event was so well attended, that they had to move to the main hall of the Javits Convention Center this year, a space twice as big. Comic books have been collectors item for more than 50 years and the interest is only getting bigger and bigger. This is a great activity for the whole family. The Jacob Javits Center http://www.javitscenter.com/is located on 11th Avenue between 34th and 39th Streets.
This year, the guests of honor will be Steven King, Stan Lee, the creator of Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Silver Surfer, and the Incredible Hulk and many more, George Perez- The New Teen Titans, Marc Silvestri, co founder of Image Comics and this is only part of the guest list for this activity.
New York Comic Con will host the 2007 American Anime Awards! This is a separate activity available only for convention ticket holders Tickets will be available for ballroom seating at no additional charge to the first 350 New York Comic Con ticket holders that have already purchased New York Comic Con tickets (you must have a Saturday Pass or Weekend Pass). You must also send an email with your First Name, Last Name, Email Address and Ticket Type already purchased to: pkovacs@nycomiccon.com. Please use Anime Awards in the subject line.

Friday, February 23, 2007 - Trade Only (10-4pm) Open to the Public (4-9pm)
Trade & Consumer Press, Media, Distributors, Chain Buyers, Licensing Companies, Educators, and Retailers are invited to attend New York Comic Con on Friday, February 24 for a day dedicated just to the trade.
Saturday, February 24, 2007 (10am - 8pm) & Sunday, February 25, 2007 (10am - 5pm)
Both Days Open to the Public
Tickets are going to be limited, but you can order on line and not have to wait in line at the door.

Most of the exhibitors will have their artists available for autographs. .
Comic books are not the only things that are going to be on exhibit either. They will also have Graphic Novels Publishers and small press will be presenting their newest releases and your favorite titles of graphic novels at New York Comic Con. There will be a gaming area, where you can play tournament games and win prizes. The games will be from Bondai, Hidden City Games, Privateer Press,Tenacious Games, Score,Wiz Kids and Wizards of the Coast. Toys The industry's top toy manufacturers will be exhibiting. This is your chance to see the latest toys and collectibles related to comic, anime, manga, graphic novels, sci-fi and pop culture. With the support of TV and movie studios, New York Comic Con will be packed with movie screenings, trailers, TV panels, celebrity appearances and autographing.
