New York Giants Beat New England Patriots & Win Super Bowl XLII

The New York Giants are the new Super Bowl Champions! They beat the New England Patriots 17-14, in a game that caused a moment of shock to everyone watching it. The under-dog Giants played great defense against the Patriots who hadn't lost a game the whole season.

Eli Manning, quarterback for the New York Giants, brother of quarterback Peyton Manning, who won the Super Bowl last year will now join the his brother with a Super Bowl ring of his own.

The win on February 03, was the 11th straight win on the road for the Giants, who came out of the regular season with a 10-6 record. While watching the game, you could tell the Giants were giving it their all defensive wise. They put down the Tom Brady-led offense and held them to only 14 points.

New England towards the end of the fourth quarter was only one play from winning, but they could not stop a spectacular catch by David Tyree who scored the first touchdown for the New York Giants.

The NFL league's MVP (Most Valuable Player) Tom Brady seemed frustrated during the whole game. He was sacked 5 times, and was rushed in his attempt to deliver the ball to his teammates which caused poor throws. This was not something that neither he, nor any of the New England Patriots were hoping for; they were so close to becoming a historic team had they won the Super Bowl game.
