New York Giants Players Unhappy with Antrel Rolle

New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle hinted earlier in the week that, while he doesn't believe the Jets are better than the Giants, he envies the individuals playing under Jets head coach Rex Ryan. His current teammates have something to say about those remarks.

Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News is reporting that several members of the Giants are displeased with Rolle and are planning to speak with the "my job isn't fun anymore" safety. One individual, defensive end Justin Tuck, went on the record. The defensive captain is quoted as saying "I haven't talked to him yet, but it is on my agenda to call Antrel. When I do, I will make a statement."

This isn't the first time Rolle's words have landed him in hot water since signing with the Giants just ten months ago. In September, Rolle criticized head coach Tom Coughlin publicly for the first time and said the team as a whole "lacked leadership." You can bet that Rolle is going to learn a thing or two about this team's leadership as soon as Justin Tuck makes that phone call.

The "C" word (no, not that one) is starting to get thrown around regarding Rolle's presence with the Giants. He was second on the team in total tackles and finished the season with an interception but Coughlin, defensive coordinator Perry Fewell and players such as Justin Tuck will not tolerate a locker room cancer such as Rolle. Rolle was fine in 2010 but he's absolutely replaceable. At this rate, we're about 1-2 more angry Rolle interviews away from the beginning of trade rumors.
