New York Giants Super Bowl Links

Links to Game Highlights and Other Giants Moments

Zac Wassink
It's been roughly two weeks since Super Bowl XLII and I am still rejoicing in the victory of my New York football Giants. Living in the NYC/NJ Metro area, I can assure all of you that I am not the only one. Let's just say that Giants merchandise is flying off the shelves.

One of the many ways I'm constantly enjoying New York's victory over the Patriots is by watching clips of the game online. What began as a simple adoration for my team's victory has spawned into an obsession of sorts. After scanning YouTube, the greatest website in the entire history of the internet, I have found the best New York Giants Super Bowl links. Here they are in no particular order.

New York Giants Super Bowl Links #1: The Drive as commentated by Dick Stockton

Who could have imagined at the beginning of the 2007 NFL regular season that Eli Manning would be the man taking his team down the field for a Super Bowl-winning drive? That's exactly what Manning, the Super Bowl MVP, did. Unfortunately for most of us, we had to listen to the dull, monotone commentary of Joe Buck. Thanks to the joys of the internet, fans can relive the drive while listening to Dick Stockton call the action. Other than Stockton's superb commentary, it's also nice to be able to skip all of the inaction that took place during the game-winning drive. Watch (and listen) to Eli take Big Blue down the field here.

New York Giants Super Bowl Links #2: The Hail Manning

No, I didn't come up with this nickname for the greatest play in Super Bowl history. While the above link has this play, many of you may want to simply watch Tyree's catch without going through the entire drive. This short clip shows Manning's miraculous escape and Tyree's helmet catch. What's even better is that, in this clip, Marv Albert calls the action. Watch here and enjoy this historic play.

New York Giants Super Bowl Links #3: Manning to Burress

In sports, often times certain events can be overshadowed by those moments that are deemed as "historic." The Manning-to-Tyree play was unquestionably something special. However, that play itself did not win the game. Plaxico's Burress 13-yard touchdown reception with 35 seconds remaining gave Big Blue the victory. Watch Eli Manning officially become a hero to us all here.

New York Giants Super Bowl Links #4: Eli Manning is going to Disney World

I was so caught up in celebrating Big Blue's victory that I missed the most famous commercial in all of sports. Every year, a significant player (usually the MVP of the Super Bowl) looks into the camera and simply says "I'm going to Disney World!" Eli Manning was this year's choice for the commercial. Thankfully, I can watch this commercial anytime I want by clicking here.

New York Giants Super Bowl Links #5: Eli Manning on Letterman

Alright, so this actually took place a few days after the Super Bowl. It's still interesting to watch the much maligned New York quarterback being given the praise that he deserves after his gutsy Super Bowl performance. Besides, for a guy that is considered "dull" by many fans and journalists, Manning's actual personality really comes out during the interview. If you haven't seen it yet, have a look.

Super Bowl XLII was one of the most historic games in the history of the NFL. For Giants fans, it will remain arguably the greatest moment in the history of the franchise. These five links are a great way to keep Super Bowl XLII fresh in your memory during the NFL off-season.

Carol is so funny. Do you detect a hint of sarcasm there, Zac?! These links will be a great resource for people who want to relive the game. By the way, I watched some of it towards the end.
