New York Jets' Playoff Hopes Still Alive

The New York Jets had their fate in their own hands. If they had won their last 2 games against the Seahawks and Dolphins, they were going to the playoffs. Fighting against the Dolphins and Patriots in the same division, the Jets were unable to pull off a win against the Seahawks. The weather was very bad and the snow covered most of the field. The Seahawks fared much better in the elements than did the Jets, and that seemed to be the factor that determined who would win the game.

The Jets didn't even manage to score a touchdown. Even with all the snow in the game against Seahawks, due to some questionable decisions by the Jets coach, they once settled for a field goal at the 2 yard line when they needed half a yard for a first down, and opted to punt the ball when they were easily in field goal range.

The only way the Jets can now get into the playoffs is if they defeat the Miami Dolphins in their last game of the season and if either the Patriots lose to the Bills (Jets win the division and get into the playoffs) or if the Ravens lose to the Jaguars (Jets get a wildcard spot in the playoffs).

After their 5-game winning streak came to an end against the Broncos in week 13, the Jets have looked stale and managed to barely get 1 win since.

The Jets will get to watch the Patriots game at noon and if the Patriots lose then Jets must beat the Dolphins to advance to the playoffs. If the Patriots win then they have to hope the Jaguars beat the Ravens and will be watching the scoreboard as both games are at the same time.

All in all, the only way to have a chance at the playoffs is to beat the Dolphins.
