New York Jets Running Back LaDainian Tomlinson Dancing with Fate as Jason Taylor May Soon Be His New Team Mate

When the San Diego Chargers released LaDainian Tomlinson in 2010 they automatically gave Coach Rex Ryan a chance to bolster their 2010 offensive fire power. Not only does LaDainian Tomlinson bring proven leadership to the New York Jets locker room, and even though Tomlinson did not have a great 2009 season, he still has something left in his tank that will give the Jets that extra edge when they face his former team.

LaDainian Tomlinson will be looking forward to playing against San Diego, there is a bitter relationship that ended LT's career with the Chargers, and he does have something to prove to himself and the New York Jets organization.

The 2010 NFL season may even prove more special for the New York Jets as they look for the final piece of their network to complete their quest for a Super Bowl Championship. The trade talks with Jason Taylor have been going very well; in fact it may be a matter of time before Taylor decides if he will become a New York Jets linebacker.

Even though Jason Taylor is 35 years old, he does have something left in his tank, and this may be a prime opportunity for him to play for a team that has an opportunity to win a Super Bowl within the next two years. Jason Taylor has 127 ½ sacks in his NFL career, his leadership and intensity for the love of the game may be what the Jets need in their quest for a Super Bowl Championship.

Newly acquired veteran running back LaDainian Tomlinson was also a pitch man trying to convince Jason Taylor to join the Jets team. "I pitched my part in trying to get him here,'' Tomlinson said. ``Hopefully, things get done because we can definitely use him.''

``I think this is the perfect fit for him,'' Tomlinson said. ``When you think about it, and Jason's obviously thinking about it, he probably can see himself being here. I think we've got a great shot of getting him.''

Even though Jason Taylor and LT are nearing the end of their NFL careers it would be most exciting to see both of these players finally win a Super Bowl Championship.
