New York Times Arts & Leisure Festival is Back

Exciting Guests; Exciting Lineup

The New York Times is recently announced their Arts and Leisure week which is taking place on January 7 through January 13, 2008. There are many exciting guests who will be being interviewed as part of this annual tradition and the New York Times is very excited to be hosting them all. These events all require tickets and tickets typically do sellout so if you are interested in seeing any of these people that you should definitely make sure to get your tickets as soon as possible to avoid being shut out of this event.

On January 8, 2008 at 6 p.m. at Circle in the Square Theater, Philip Bosco, Theodore Mann, and Frances Sternhagen will all come together to celebrate and commemorate the history of the Circle in the Square theater as described in the new memoir "Journeys in the Night." The interviewer will be Patricia Cohen New York Times culture reporter.

January 9, 2008 will find acclaimed dancer and choreographer; director and dance Theatre Company founder Mark Morris in the chair talking about his very respectable career, the dance world in general, its history and its future. Daniel J. Wakin, a New York Times culture reporter will be interviewing Mr. Morris.

Also on January 9, 2008 Julian Schnabel will be discussing his career. This artist and filmmaker who received best director nod last May at Cannes Film Festival will talk about his work, the connection between painting and film as well as his latest movie the biopic "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly."

January 10, 2008 will see Tom Brokaw in the interviewee chair. With an illustrious career under his belt as a television news journalist and best-selling author, Mr. Brokaw will be there to discuss a whole host of issues including his last two books "Boom! Voices of the Sixties" and "The Greatest Generation."

On January 11, 2008 another megastar will be entering the picture as Martha Stewart comes to talk about her life as an entrepreneur, entertainment icon, media personality, and her sometimes controversial positions. The interviewer for the Martha Stewart segment will be Kim Severson, a New York Times food reporter.

Another star in another rite will be coming down the walkway on January 11; Wynton Marsalis the world famous jazz and classical musician, trumpeter, band leader, composer, arts advocate, educator, and so much more will be speaking with John Rockwell about his life and where the state of the world is going today.

These are just some of the exciting events who truly happening at the New York Times art and leisure festival in January.
