Newbeauty.com TestTube Review

I don't know about all women, but I love samples. So, when I heard about newbeauty.com TestTube sampling program in The New York Post, I was intrigued. When I received the TestTube full of fancy samples, I was thrilled. I loved it so much, I bought two more initial subscriptions for my friends.

What is newbeauty.com's TestTube program? It is a subscription service where you receive a giant package full of brand new beauty products four times a year. It cost $29.95 per tube and they come every three months.

My first TestTube arrived packed with samples, fancy samples that I usually couldn't afford, and I couldn't have been happier. I know, I know, they are just products, but it is these little things that make my day. Here is what was in it:

1. Lancome Secret Devie
This lotion in full-size usually cost $225 dollars. $225 dollars for lotion? Come on. Needless to say, it was wonderful, smelled great, my skin was as smooth as a babies. I won't ever buy it, but it sure was fun to try.

2. ROCResurfacing Facial Peel Kit
This was the full-size set which goes for $29.29. It's a peel and a lotion you use after the peel. It was great and I would buy this again.

3. PurposeRedness Reducing Moisturizer
This too was a full-size bottle that goes for $15. This lotion is supposed to reduce redness which I don't really have. I didn't love it, but again, it was nice to try.

4. Jane Iredale The Skincare Makeup
Full-size this is $48. It was a bunch of powders in different shades that were great cover-ups and are designed for sensitive skin. This is not something I usually use, but it did do a great job.

5. Babor Selection Ultimate Care
Full-size jar: $80 dollars. This lotion is made from champagne and I loved it. Someday, when I'm not so broke, I'm buying it.

6. Bioelements Sleepwear
Full-size jar: $59. This lotion is for before you go to sleep to replenish your skin. I guess my skin was soft but I didn't really notice a difference.

7. Yu.be
Full-size tube $15. This little sample from Japan was so cute I would buy it just because of that. It smelled like carmex and can be used on chapped lips or skin. Mountain climbers are supposed to dig it. I really liked it.

8. Skingenic Regenerating Moisturizer
Full-size jar $110. Again, I loved it, but I wouldn't spend that much. It was great to try though.

9. Supersmile Whitening System
One month supply $33. This toothpaste plus whitening accelerator did make my teeth whiter. I would buy this again.

All total, this TestTube was worth $200. I receive my next TestTube in a a few weeks and I cannot wait. It was really fun trying all the products. As I said, I love samples. Some of the products are way too expensive for me, but I would buy some of them. And the amount of joy the TestTube brought me was well worth the $29.95.
