Newest Wii Games for April 2009

Michael Grisso
When you first take a look at the newest Wii games for April, the immediate thought is it's a down month. However, there are a couple diamonds in the rough that could make this one of the biggest family months ever. Your first option came out on April 2nd, when Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Grooves reaches the stores. If you missed it, don't overlook the rest of the newest Wii games available.

April 1st-7th

The first week of Wii game releases will let us know just how popular Miley Cyrus is to youngsters around the world. On April 7th, Hannah Montana: The Movie is set to be one of the newest Wii games that hits your local retailers. The timing is perfect, considering the actual movie won't be open in the theaters until April 10th. In the end we imagine this one will be the biggest seller of the month. Here's the of the newest wii games for in the first week of April.

Party Pigs: Barnyard Games (Party)
Samurai Shodown Anthology (Fighting)
Tournament Pool (Sports)

April 8th-14th

Unfortunately the second week of the month won't be as exciting for some as the first. In fact out of the 13 newest Wii games, only two of them are set for the second week. The good news is they were made for those who enjoy challenges, and anyone who loves puzzles will get a kick out of either one. Especially since one has over 100 levels to complete (reminds me of Tetris).

Escape the Museum (Puzzle)
Professor Heinz Wolff's Gravity (Puzzle)

April 15th-21st

You'll find a nice selection when you see the newest Wii games set for the 15th-21st. There are 4 in all and with the choices of racing, simulation, or action between them, they are going to make one of you very happy. Granted these aren't the top of the line names in the game, but a couple of them could be the next big Wii game.

Excite Bots: Trick Racing (Racing)
Burger Island (Action)
Fantasy Aquarium World (simulation)
My Horse and Me: Riding for Gold (Simulation)

The Final Week

By now you've realized that the big names won't be found during the month of April. The newest Wii games end on the 28th with The Destiny of Zorro and Puzzle Kingdoms. Not something that peaks a lot of people's interest, but there is a reason behind the madness. Basically, you don't want to release a huge game at the end of the month, when something like X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be out May 1st.

Ok uhm unless you plan on getting us one of these Wii thingamabopers, you need to stop writing all of these awesome Wii articles :) j/k. Kayla will definitely want one now - she is a huge Hannah Montana fan. Her Grandpa will be down next week, so she may talk him into taking her to see the movie :) Nice article.
