Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and Duffy Boats
You Can Afford to See the Newport Beach Boat Parade on the Water
During the parade, Duffy Boats has two time slots to rent these great boats from 5:30pm - 9:30pm or from 6:00pm to 10pm. For the parade, they will be serving free hot coffee, hot apple cider, cookies, popcorn and hot dogs. Ice is free and on the ready. Party platters are also available when ordered 24 hours in advance or you can bring your own food and beverages. Price includes two parking spaces. Duffy Boats recommends you make reservations early as they always sell out for this event.
All the boats are the same, with canopies, CD and iPod hook-ups. The boats are like brand new and ultra clean seating up to 10 with plenty of room for all your accoutrements. They have large windows that you can open or close depending on the weather; either way you will be privy to a fantastic view. See Duffy Boats Parade Pictures Here.
About the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade
This parade has been going on a very long time. In fact this year will be the 102 parade of its kind. The boats, the houses, and the restaurants are decorated to the tune of millions of lights, millions of dollars and enormous creative expression. It is an amazing site to see, even when it isn't Christmas you'll see balboa Island all lit up but when Christmas comes the mansions on the shore and the yachts on the water make one of the most unforgettable sights you'll ever see.
The parade is older than many American traditions like Macy's Thanksgiving Parade or the lighting of the tree at Rockefeller Center. Even if you can't afford to take a boat, there are many land loving points to see the 102 Annual Christmas Boat Parade. Here you will find a map with many vantage points from restaurants to yachts clubs and street views with approximate times that the parade will be passing on the 14 mile route. Here are some more photos to wet your whistle. The last night of the Parade there will be a huge fireworks show on the Balboa Pier at 9pm on Sunday, December 19, you'll be able to view it from all over the harbor.
