In Los Angeles on the set of the comedy sit-com called Modern Family the Dunphy household is full of surprises. Most people can relate to the mishaps that the family encounters which makes you laugh and crack a few smiles. In one episode where Phil and Claire celebrate their sixteenth anniversary, the kids brought them breakfast in bed but, then they were surprised to see them fooling around naked and dropped the food. From Phil Dunphy getting locked in an outhouse to Clair's obsession with catching the neighborhood speeding driver, the comedy just keeps on rolling.

In another episode, Gloria learns to ride a bike and looks so funny wobbling along in the street almost running in to parked cars. Each episode is totally different as well and keeps viewers tuned in week after week to see what awkward situation the family will display next time. According to Shawna Malcom for TV Guide, the ratings for Modern Family have increased 34% from the first season to the second season. Averaging 15 million viewers, it is the networks most watched scripted show. Modern Family recently has surpassed Grey's Anatomy for the top spot on ABC.

The creators Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are in the early stages of planning another family vacation because of the popularity of season one's vacation in Hawaii. Eric Stonestreet, who plays Cam, plans on visiting his parents with his girlfriend Katherine Tokarz. He wants to give them the Emmy he won for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy. It is the best way to thank them for being there for and guiding him throughout his life and career.

The Bixby's back episode recently aired where Phil and Claire pretend to be Clive and Julianna for a Valentine's Day rendezvous. Jay has a surprise for Gloria but, it backfires and he gets tricked. When he takes her out for a fancy Valentine dinner, he pays the hostess to not give them a table so they have to go home aggravated. Then, Jay set up a romantic home cooked meal where everything would be reading for when they returned home. Gloria outsmarted him with her own surprise though when they got home.
