Rolling Stone's Tongue Tattoo For A Pony

Well tattoos may be popular these days, but what the owner of a white horse in Germany had in mind for the poor creature was deemed to be against animal rights by a court.

The man was proposing tattooing a large version of the famous Rolling Stone's tongue logo onto the horse's right thigh, and had already shaved the hair from much of the area, and had drawn the outline on the horse ready for the tattooing to begin.

The owner was apparently hoping to make the horse "more beautiful" and to start a business that offered tattoo services for animals.

Thankfully for animal lovers everywhere the court decided otherwise.

How To Eat Free At Top London Restaurants

"Just how do you do this" you might well ask.

Well, a man in London found out how, and on three occasions in October and November he dined for free, but then he got caught!

The man, who is 27 from Latvia and unemployed, would go into a high class restaurant, order a meal and eat it, then disappear without paying the bill.

There - you knew there would be a catch didn't you!

Apparently he ran up a bill of £349 (US$550) at the Glass House restaurant in Richmond on Thames, then a £965 (US$1,500) at the Connaught Hotel in Central London, but the largest bill of all was £1,656 ($US2,650) which we ran up at the L'Oranger French Restaurant in Central London.

I don't know about you, but I can't even begin to imagine how anyone could spend that amount of money on food and drink, let alone sitting in a restaurant on their own. He must have done something like order a £1,000 bottle of wine or something, but nowhere warrants spending that kind of money.

Neighbor Arrested For Returning Stolen Ashes

Well as usual Florida is a place where you can be sure to find a strange story, and here is a perfect example, from the city of Gainesville.

It seems that about a week ago, some storage buildings were broken into, and amongst the items that were stolen were the remains of the resident's mother.

A few days later, the owner of the home saw that someone was in the buildings, and called the police.

They tracked down a neighbor, and in his home they found some of the missing items. He was immiediately taken to the local jail.

Apparently it seems that he stole the remains when he first broke into the buildings, but had returned again to take them back.

This doesn't look like the sort of neighbor most of us would like to have, and if you look at his photo on the full article, I think you will agree.

Toddler Escapes From Home For Third Time

It's not that often that you hear about a toddler running away from home and being found in the street by a passing motorist, but this little boy has managed to run away from home three times now.

It's not like the two year old lives in a bad home or anything, it's just that his mother is kept busy looking after her other seven children and getting them ready for school, when the youngest decided to make a run for it.

Fortunately the mother came out and managed to claim him after he was apprehended by a passing motorist.

I guess a high chair might be a good idea, or some other way of keeping him confined, or at least assign one of the siblings to keep an eye on him and make a rota.

Woman Shoots Cat In Self Defense

Yet again another strange story from Florida, this time from Lakeland.

A woman who was charged with shooting and killing her neighbor's cat claims that she did it in self defense, after it attacked not only her, but also her sister and their pit bull.

Apparently the cat had gone into the woman's garden, and the pit bull had chased the cat out of the garden, and under the mobile home next door, where neighbors tried to coax both the animals to come out.

When the woman's sister tried to grab the cat and pull it out, it attacked both of the women, and so the woman went indoors and got her revolver.

The cat then attacked both of them again, and the woman shot and killed it.

The owner of the cat was charged with not having documentation of animal vaccinations and allowing the animal to roam free, while the woman who shot it is charged with animal cruelty and discharging a firearm in public.

What can I say - Pit Bull, Mobile Home, Florida - nuff said...

It does make you wonder how you could run up a bill for $1,000 or more - and for one person too! Food at exclusive places like this might cost $100 or even $200, but how can it cost more than that? Must be the wine and other drinks I guess, but it's still extremely high, and didn't the waiting staff think it rather odd that a lone diner was running up a bill like that?
