Rapture on the River
Pier 54, 13th St. @ Hudson River Park

In its fifth year, Rapture on the River is the official Gay Pride Week's Women's Dance on New York City's Pier 54.

Sunday June 29, 2008
Pridefest
Hudson St. between Abingdon Sq. & West 14th St.
11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Held in downtown New York City and In its fifteenth year, Pridefest is Gay Pride Week's annual street fair.
This event is free to the public.
Dance on the Pier
Pier 54, 13th St @ the West Side Highway - Hudson River Park
4:00 - 10:30 PM, Fireworks
Dance on the Pier is Gay Pride Week's open music and dance celebration including fireworks. It dates back to the days when society was not quite so open and LGBT people could not openly dance together in public, not even in New York City.

The March/Parade
From 5th Ave. & 52nd St. to Christopher & Greenwich St.
12:00 p.m. - Until it ends
Dating back to 1971, the annual Gay Pride March/Parade is an extravagant Gay Pride Week celebration and soiree for social statements that now promenades down New York City's prestigious Fifth Avenue.
