NFC Break-out Runningbacks for 2009

The Atlanta Falcons runningback Micheal Turner will break-out and have the best year of his carrier in this 2009 NFL season. Micheal Turner is starting his second season with Atlanta. Turner is also starting his second season with Atlanta's young star quarterback Matt Ryan. This year Atlanta picked up future hall of fame tight-end Tony Gonzalez in free agency. Matt Ryan and Tony Gonzalez will help keep the defense back off the line of scrimmage. Since the defense is off the line of scrimmage, Micheal Turner will be able to run through the middle of the defense for big runs. Micheal Turner was a back up for Ladainian Tomlinson son two season ago. Now Turner wants to show he is a star. Atlanta was second in the league last season in rushing. In his first season with Atlanta, Micheal Turner was second in the NFL in rushing. Micheal Turner had 1699 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns in 2008. This year Atlanta will play their division. Their division all averaged more 115 defensive rushing yards a game in 2008. Tampa Bay, New Orleans, and Carolina all are in the NFC south with Atlanta. In 2008 Micheal Turner rushed for over 150 yards against Tampa Bay. This season watch out for Micheal Turner to break-out for big games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints. New Orleans will not be able to stop Micheal Turner on the ground because of the fear Matt Ryan will put into the other team.

Brain Westbrook of the Philadelphia Eagles will have a break-out season in the 2009 NFL season. Brain Westbrook only played 14 games in 2008. He still had a great season with 936 rushing yards and 402 receiving yards. Westbrook is coming back strong from a minor injury. He has had the off-season and most of the preseason to recover. Look for Brian Westbrook to have more than 2000 total yard in 2009. In 2006 and 2007 Brain Westbrook had over 2000 all purpose yards each season in only 15 games. Any time Westbrook is matched up with a linebacker. The defense has to adjust to the speed mismatch Westbrook will have over their linebacker. The Philadelphia Eagles have Donovan McNabb as a quarterback. Donovan McNabb threw for nearly 4000 yards in 2008. Most of the time when McNabb is in trouble he looks and finds his stars check down runningback Brian Westbrook out of the back field. If Westbrook gets into the secondary in a one on one match up, He will breaks one arm tackles and juke defenders that try to tackle to high. Brain Westbrook will start the season off with three big games against the Carolina Panthers, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Then Kansas City who was 30th in rush defense in 2008. Brian Westbrook will have to more great games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the 31st rush defense in the NFL the Oakland Raiders.
