NFL 2008 Predictions

Superbowl 09

Christina Armani
While it is very late in the football season it is never too late to make or update any predictions. At the beginning of the year I predicted that the Giants would have a good year and that the Redskins would have a bad year. I also predicted that the Packers would have a bad year and while they are doing better than some teams, they will not be going to the playoffs this year. I also predicted that the Steelers would not have a good year and while they may or may not win the division, they are in the playoffs for sure. Who would have predicted that the Lions would most likely have an 0 and 16 season?

Whatever your predictions are for the 2009-2010 football season, the Lions are going to have a better season than they did this year. Now that there is only one week to go (not counting week 15), it is clear that the playoff picture looks a lot like I predicted it would. As for the superbowl in February 2009, I predict that the Baltimore Ravens are going to win it this year. I have had my eye on the Ravens for most of the season and have been looking at them for a superbowl pick since then. While the Ravens recently had a sad loss against the Steelers, they have had some amazing games this season. The Ravens have not given up more than 27 points this season, but they still ended up winning that game. They will most likely have to play the Steelers again during the playoff season. The Ravens have lost against the Steelers twice before and they learned from their mistakes and now know what it will take to beat the Steelers.

I also predict that the Jets will make it to the superbowl this year. If that prediction does not come true, I predict that the Giants can make it to the superbowl again. Yes, that is right, there is a good chance that we could have another Ravens Giants superbowl again this year. If we do, it is not going to be nearly as boring this year since both the Ravens and Giants have come quite a way from that superbowl game. I also do not see either the Titans or the Cardinals making it far in the playoffs. While the Titans have had a great season, I believe that they are over-hyped and just do not see them getting far in the playoffs. As for the Cardinals, they may be the division winner, but they do not have what it takes to beat a super tough team like the Jets or the Ravens. Enjoy the playoffs and have fun watching the superbowl! May the best team win!
