32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: What's the answer? Quarterback? Coach? A whole new team? Fans can take solace that there are two or three winnable games the rest of the season. It may just be a few weeks away.
31. St Louis Rams: Of course they played a poor team in Week 6 but they still put 20 points on the board. That's something to feel good about.
30. Cleveland Browns: The worst defense in the NFL. Look for another chance to cheer for the Browns in Week 11. Until then it might be good to save expending any emotional energy for the Browns.
29. Tennessee Titans: To have 59 points posted on you in a single game is humiliating. The only reason the Titans aren't lower in the Power Rankings is the potential they have. They just aren't living up to it.
28. Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs win, the chiefs win! But that's still no reason to hope for more of them. As the season goes on you almost start to feel sorry for the Chiefs.
27. Oakland Raiders: Disunity, dysfunction, disillusionment! That sums up the Raiders no matter how many more improbable wins they get.
26. Washington Redskins: No one really figured the Redskins would be wowing the NFL, but I don't know if anyone predicted they would be so bad. First you take away offensive coordinator duties from the head coach. What's next? His headset?
25. Detroit Lions: If they post more goose eggs on the score board they may end up with another #1 pick. It still won't help. There's too much that needs fixing.
24. Buffalo Bills: They sure seem built to put some points on the board. They must be forgetting where the board is. A win in Week 6 is not enough to build any confidence in this team.
23. Jacksonville Jaguars: Sure they won, but it took everything they had to beat a winless team. Not something to be very proud of.
22. Carolina Panthers: For three quarters it seemed like they were going to let Tampa Bay get their first win. While they did pull it together to salvage a victory, it wasn't pretty.
21. Seattle Seahawks: Ouch! Some had the Seahawks as a sleeper team for their Super Bowl picks. Now the team is just asleep.
20. Miami Dolphins: The magic of the 2008 season has vanished. Welcome back to mediocrity Bill Parcels.
19. San Diego Chargers: They may be lower than 19 as the weeks progress. The team just looks confused about what they want to be. A running team? A throwing team? Definitely not a defensive team!
18. Arizona Cardinals: It's hard to know where to place the Cardinals. They show flashes of the Super Bowl team of last year. Then they revert back to the Cardinals of old. By the end of the season it wouldn't be a surprise to see them ranked in either the top 5 or the bottom 5.
17. Houston Texans: The Texans are frustrating. The win this week shows what they are capable of but there's no consistency. If they could figure out how to be the same team from week to week they would be quite interesting come playoff time.
16. San Francisco 49ers: The beating they received from the Falcons showed their true vulnerabilities, slightly above mediocre defense and poor offense. Somehow they continue to win.
15. NY Jets: People's infatuation with the Jets has mostly to do with their interest in Sanchez. Now that he shows his true immaturity the love affair is cooling off.
14. Philadelphia Eagles: Ouch! A loss to the Raiders is a huge black eye to the season. Let's see if they can right this ship.
13. Dallas Cowboys: Playing the Falcons at home and after a week of rest should do much to show the league if they are for real. If they lose they could drastically slip down the rankings.
12. Green Bay Packers: A nice win, but against a bad team. Let's see what they do as the competition become tougher.
11. Baltimore Ravens: They came oh so close to dethroning the already crowned Vikings. The Ravens aren't the same team as years gone by. They are attempting to win some games with offense and the defense is simply hanging in there.
10. Pittsburgh Steelers: Big Ben moved the offense around. If they can start clicking on all cylinders they might just get back to being a true contender.
9. Chicago Bears: The Bears always seem to play the role of the unknown. Will they really be a factor at the end of the season? Or will they simply fade of into obscurity?
8. Cincinnati Bengals: Why everyone fell in love with the Bengals for the first five games of the season I do not know. This may be the start of showing their true colors.
7. NY Giants: Another Ouch! It's hard to know if the Saints are that good or if the Giants are that bad. A few more weeks should help us decide.
6. New England Patriots: Even when the team doesn't look 100% they seem to have a knack for getting people's attention. If they continue to play as well as they did in Week 6 it will spell trouble for the league.
5. Atlanta Falcons: They have some tough opponents in the weeks to come. They seem to have a well balanced offense but is their defense up to task?
4. Minnesota Vikings: Can they really keep up the pace they've set? What's scary for the Vikings is the close games against mediocre teams. Sure they've won, but it's hard to imagine they can continue living on the edge.
3. Indianapolis Colts: Manning finds a way to win. They'll stay near the top of the pack all season, they always do.
2. Denver Broncos: Admittedly the surprise of the year. The defense is stout and the offense is respectable. Can they do this week in and week out?
1. New Orleans Saints: Sure they have weaknesses. What are they? I'm not sure yet.
