College Football
LOUISVILLE -37.5 over Syracuse
Louisville will set out to destroy the Orange after their loss at Kentucky last weekend. Syracuse is no match for Louisville defensively or offensively and Louisville will look to get the bad taste out of their mouths with a huge victory.
Florida -21 over MISSISSIPPI
Mississippi is awful this season and Florida should wipe the floor with them on Saturday. Florida whacked Tennessee last Saturday and Mississippi isn't half of what the Volunteers are. The only thing that is a concern is that road SEC games are hard, but if Florida truly feels they are a national title contender, they will crush Mississippi.
NEBRASKA -21.5 over Ball State
Nebraska will look to show they aren't as bad as they looked on Saturday night against USC. Nebraska has been home all week and they will welcome Ball State to Lincoln. Ball State is hardly a force and Nebraska will take the frustrations of last weekend out on them.
CENTRAL FLORIDA -7 over Memphis
Central Florida is a quality football team, just ask Texas. Memphis just isn't any good and Central Florida will get their first win in their brand new stadium..
Purdue -14 over MINNESOTA
Just like Iowa is bad, Minnesota might be even worse. Purdue is a good looking team this year and Curtis Painter will light up the scoreboard in the dome. Take Purdue minus the points.
Oregon State +11.5 over ARIZONA STATE
Oregon State and Arizona State are probably pretty comparable so why is one team getting 11.5 points? I will take that to the bank anyday.
UL-LAYFAYETTE +10.5 over Troy
The Ragin' Cajuns record might not show it, but they are a quality Sun-Belt team. This game will be much closer than 10.5 points, especially since the game is in Lafayette. Plus how often can you say you're betting on the Ragin' Cajuns?
USC -24.5 over Washington State
USC will open its PAC-10 schedule at home against the anemic Washington State. If you saw what USC did to Top-15 Nebraska on the road, than why wouldn't you take the Trojans in this one?
NFL
Buffalo/NEW ENGLAND O42
New England seems to be scoring at will and the Bills defense hasn't really been impressive yet. The Bills give up a lot of yards on the ground, but Brady will make sure they give them up through the air as well. The first two game the Patriots have won 38-14, maybe they will make it three. The Bills stand no chance against the Patriots on the road.
Minnesota +2 over KANSAS CITY
I feel like I'm robbing someone with this line. Kansas City only has Larry Johnson and the Vikings are great against the run. Also, Minnesota's offense hasn't been horrible and has been somewhat productive, especially Adrian Peterson. In the end I can't see why Minnesota is getting points, but I will take them.
San Diego -4 over GREEN BAY
San Diego will go into Green Bay very angry and with something to prove next weekend. After getting embarrassed by the Patriots, Ladainian Tomlinson and company will light up the scoreboard, even if the Packers defense is pretty good. The Pack won't be able to keep up and 4 points seems like a bargain to give.
Cincinnati +3.5 over SEATTLE
Cincinnati isn't as awful as they looked on Sunday and like the Chargers they will be looking to prove something. The Bengals should put up points on the Seahawks and I am just not sure the Hawks could keep up, especially if Deion Branch isn't playing well. In the end I think the Bengals should be favored and give great value because of their loss to the Browns. Take that value and run with it.
DENVER -3 over Jacksonville
One of these days the Broncos are going to win a game by more than a few points and Sunday looks like the day. Jacksonville will be visiting Invesco Field at Mile High and they haven't looked impressive by any means this season. They could only manage 13 points off of the Falcons and they will get even less against the Broncos. Denver will win by a touchdown or more.
Carolina -4 over Atlanta
I think I will just pick against Atlanta every single week. This is another case of a team with something to prove playing a much lesser team. Steve Smith will probably grab another 2 touchdowns as he is the only thing working for Carolina, but that might still be enough to cover against the Falcons. The Falcons have zero offense this season and will struggle to get out of single digits again.
Premier League
ARSENAL 1/6 over Derby County
Arsenal has been amazing since Thierry Henry left in the transfer window. Arsenal is 4-0-1 since his departure and look to continue their winning ways at home at Emirates Stadium, where they own one of the best home records of the past two years. Arsenal should have absolutely no trouble with newcomer Derby County. Take the Gunners big.
LIVERPOOL 1/5 over Birmingham City
Liverpool also plays a Premier League newcomer in Birmingham City. Birmingham City makes the trip to Liverpool and they stand no chance in this game. Liverpool is just too talented and they need this win to be where they want to be at the end of the year. Liverpool will win by 2 goals.
MIDDLESBROUGH 1/1 over Sunderland
Middlesbrough has been adequate this season and they will be playing Sunderland at home on Saturday. Sunderland is the third and best team that moved up into the Premier League for this season, but Middlesbrough is a much better team at home than on the road. They should squeeze out a victory on Saturday.
READING 6/5 over Wigan
Reading started off slowly but they are a pretty good football team. Reading should be able to dominate Wigan Athletic at home on Saturday with the likes of Bobby Convey assaulting the Wigan defense. Reading is pretty good odds at home and a 6/5 payday would be a nice cash.
